Snacks & Desserts
Snack Mix
2 Cups raw nuts (a walnuts, almonds, cashews, peanuts, or sesame seeds mix, or use your favorite)
2 Tb butter, Vegans, substitute margarine or oil
2 TBS Sensei Sauce
2 Tbs maple syrup
About 1/8-1/4 Tsp each: sea salt and fresh ground pepper (if you don’t have sea salt, substitute slightly less regular salt, but if you don’t have fresh pepper skip it–ground pepper just doesn’t’ taste the same.)
Heat butter in skillet over medium-high heat.
When butter is melted and starting to bubble, throw in nuts.
Stir for a minute or two until nuts start to brown slightly.
Add maple syrup and Sensei Sauce and stir a bit.
Sprinkle on the salt and pepper.
Spread nuts out on the plate to cool.
Try to resist eating them for five minutes so you don’t burn your tongue!
These nuts are a great snack on their own, or mixed with popcorn or pretzel sticks.
